2015 - Eastern Europe Summary (Prague)

Duration: 3 days (arrived in the morning on Sunday September 27, 2015 and left in the morning on Tuesday September 30, 2015)
Cost: Marriott Longin Center ($140.32 CAD for  night), 1. Republic ($269.56 CAD for 2 nights), roughly 300 Kč per meal, admissions and transportation.

Highlights (in no particular order):

Oddly, nothing really stood out for me in this city. It may be due to things that we have already visited during the entire trip, or maybe the fact that by Prague, we have already been away from home for over two weeks and we just wanted to go home. Not to say that this is a city to avoid, but I didn't really take away anything in my mind that makes me worth recommending it outside of things that you will probably visit anyways.

Lowlights (in no particular order):

Kutna Hora, while not particularly a lowlight, it was a bit of a let down due to expectations. If you go in with the mindset that it is a small room and you are mainly going for the bone chandelier and coat of arms, it isn't bad, but you lose half a day to see this. If you do, make sure to visit the local Cathedral which we didn't get a chance to visit the inside.

Must try food places:

U Kroka, while this restaurant isn't a drop everything and get here restaurant, I felt that the food was good and the value was definitely there although it is a bit out of the way since it isn't in the city center.

What would I change?

Our length of stay for this portion of the trip was fine, no issues there. While we could have shortened it to 2.5 days, it is fine at 3 days and you may need more time if you were to visit more things deeply than I did.
