In 2010, a few of my friends and myself went to go white water rafting at Wilderness Tours in Ottawa, Ontario.
Due to the distance from Toronto, we decided that we would drive there, stay the night, do the white water rafting and head home afterwards. There are a variety of accommodations available on site and surprising a fairly decent amount of things to do if you aren't rafting. I recall a climbing wall, basketball court, bungee jumping, a large outdoor chess board to name a few.
With our stay, dinner was provided and again surprising good. It wasn't a large meal, but it was well made and well enjoyed.
You do wake up pretty early to go rafting since they bring you to the launch site, find the appropriate fitted helmet and life jacket and you are off. It took most of the day and there is a lunch included and there is a jump-off point for those interested where you can jump off a 15-20 foot cliff.
Fairly fun experience and I would recommend it for anyone who is interested. And yes, we did lose a number of people, as you can see in the picture below, our raft was almost perpendicular with the water.
